Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 01:DELHI (Arrival)
Arrive DELHI - The Political and Cultural Capital of Incredible India to be greeted at the airport by our representative arrival team, who will be waiting with pre-printed signboard of your name at the arrival hall immediately after crossing customs area and currency exchange counters. You will be escorted to the car which will take you to the hotel for check inn. Drive to the hotel is approx 35 minutes form airport. Although most of the international flights arrive late in the evening or at night; your activities for the day will depend upon your arrival flight timing. Spend the night at the hotel for sleep and to get over with the Jet Lag. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 02: OLD & NEW DELHI
After breakfast in the morning at the hotel our guide will greet you at the hotel to take you for a full day Guided Sightseeing of Old and New Delhi in Private Dlx Car.

Start off by the visit to The Qutab Minar Complex, followed by The Lotus Temple. Drive through Sfadarjung Tomb or Humanyu Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President House and Raj Ghat before entering the Old Delhi to visit the Jamia Mazjid, the famous Red Fort and Chandini Chowk, Walk through the narrow alleys of the oldest and busiest bazaars of India or take a Rickshaw Ride. Visit Shish Ganj Gurudwara. In between if time permits you will also be taken to visit the famous Akshardham Temple or Lakshmi Narayan Temple. To wind up the day tour visit some of the beautiful souvenir shops to buy some of the most exquisite memories from India for your loved ones. Finish the tour with the spectacular Sound and Light Show (1 Hr) at Purana Quila delving into Delhi's glorious and tumultuous past, which makes the 5,000 years old history of the city come alive. Drive through the famous Victorian Cannaught Place - One of the most prominent architectural remnants of British Rule.

Return back to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. You may go for dinner at an excellent Mughal/ Indian/ Continental Restaurant. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 03: DELHI - JAIPUR (270 Kms -5.5 hrs)
After breakfast in the morning at the hotel you have time for leisure activities. Later in the day check out and drive to JAIPUR. This historic and first planned city of India was founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh in 1727 AD. The king had consulted a number of maps of the world before finally organizing own religious map Shilpa Shastra with the help of a young architect. Maharaja Swai Jai Singh was a builder, astronomer, astrologer, soldier, & philosopher. Presently Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan & is world famous as the Pink City. Wide-avenued Jaipur is the reservoir of Indian customs, traditions, civilization and royal legacy and is one of the most important heritage cities in India. Jaipur is also the home to India’s second most visited site. Arrive and check into the hotel.

Rest of the evening is free for leisure activities in and around the hotel. With Car and Driver at your disposal you may visit some of the world famous colorfully painted in Pink Bazaars of Jaipur. Shopping is an electrifying activity in Jaipur. It is difficult to define in words, the assortment of products, which these markets offer. Without a shopping spree in markets, no trip to Jaipur is complete. It is the perfect place to shop for Handicrafts, antiques, jewelry, gems, pottery, carpets, textiles, metalwork and leather-ware. In the late evening hours you may go to the Chokhi Daani – A Rajasthani Traditional Village Resort to enjoy the folk dance, music and rich hospitality and for leisure activities. You may also enjoy a traditional Rajasthani Food before returning back to the hotel to stay Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 04: JAIPUR
After breakfast in the morning at the hotel our guide will greet you at the hotel lobby to take you for full day sightseeing of Jaipur.

Fist visit the most famous Amber Fort. Enjoy the Elephant Ride from the foothills of the Fort to the Amber Fort top, the elephant ride will give you the experience and take you into the royal past where Maharajas & royal family members were using the services of elephants as royal transport. Visit the Amber Fort. While returning form the Amber Fort stop for the photo shots at the Jal Mahal - The Floating Palace. Later visit the marvelous City Palace - the current generation of the Maharajas (King) still live here. The spectacular Palace is a lively example of the royal Past. Go on to visit the Hawa Mahal (wind palace) where from royal ladies were watching daily processions and daily life. Constructed of red and pink sandstone highlighted with white lime, the five-storied facade is peppered with 953 small windows. The breeze (hawa) that comes through the windows keeps it cool even in hot months, and gives the palace its name.

Also visit the Historic Museum to be followed by ancient astrological observatory – The Jantar Mantar and beautiful temple – The Birla Mandir made in pure white marble. Evening is for leisure and shopping activities in some of the exclusive souvenirs boutiques and showrooms to buy some of the most exquisite memories of India. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05: JAIPUR – RANTHAMBORE (160 Kms – 03 Hrs)
Morning: After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary -the tiger sanctuary is known for the place where you can catch the tiger by its tail. One of the most exciting tourism opportunities in India is to see the Royal Bengal Tiger in the wild. Ranthambore National Park is among the most promising jungles to see just that. The tiger is not the only attraction at Ranthambore; although it is the one park resident people come to see. Enjoy great wildlife and see several varieties of birds including these owlets peering through their burrow pictured here on the right and of course the ubiquitous langur monkey. Other animals in the reserve include leopard, caracal, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, marsh crocodiles, wild boar, bears and various species of deer. The main food source for the tiger is the swamp deer like Barasinsga and on occasion the wild buffalo and also wild bear etc.

Afternoon: Upon arrival at the wildlife resort you will be greeted in a traditional manner. Check into the Dlx Cottages of the Jungle Resort. Lunch will be served at the resort. Later in the day after change, wash and some rest go for Tiger Tracking by Canter Safari Ride escorted by local naturalist and English Speaking Guide into the jungles.

Evening: is free for leisure activities in and around the jungle resort. You can visit the wildlife museum, or have an interactive session with the expert jungle guide and naturalist. Enjoy the dinner over bonfire and traditional folk dance, musical show, Rajasthani puppet show etc in the deep forests. Overnight stay is at the jungle resort.

Day 06: RANTHAMBORE
Early Morning: Tea / Coffee with cookies will be served at the wake-up call. Go for morning Jungle Safari ride by exclusive OPEN JEEP (gypsy) escorted with English Speaking Guide & Local naturalist – the inhabitants of the Jungle. Drive into deep forests for an exclusive Jungle Jeep Safari by Open 4WD Jeep in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve to watch different varieties of animals especially The Tiger. You can also watch here leopard, panther, spotted deer, antelopes & many varieties of birds. Return to Hotel for breakfast and some rest.

Noon: After some rest at the resort go for another Jungle Safari by Canter Safari on joint basis escorted with English Speaking Guide and Local naturalist. Watch out for The King of Jungles – The Royal Indian Tiger. The Game viewing drive last for 3 hours.

Evening: After the Canter Safari return back to the resort to be served with a refreshing Tea / Coffee amidst the jungles. Let in the evening enjoy the Dinner over bonfire along with light music and Rajasthani Puppet and Magic Show. Overnight stay is at the resort in Ranthambore.

Day 07: RANTHAMBORE – Fatehpur Sikri – AGRA (250 Kms – 05 Hrs)
Early in the morning you have option to go for yet another Jungle Safari Ride for Tiger Tracking. After breakfast in the morning at the resort check out and drive to AGRA. Enroute visit one of the most important places of Mughal Era - The Fatehpur Sikri - the abandoned Mughal Kingdom, founded by Akbar in 1569 AD as a ceremonial capital. But unfortunately this magnificent city was abandoned due to scarcity of drinking water and Akbar went back to Agra. Walk the aisles of the Jamia Mazjid mosque, entered by way of the impressive Victory Gate, and lose yourself in the throngs of pilgrims at the tomb of the Sufi saint Salim Chisti, his white marble-encased tomb enclosed within the Jamia mosque's central courtyard. Considered the crowning architectural legacy of Akbar (who also built the Red Fort) and still almost perfectly preserved, today the site is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Continue your drive to Agra so as to arrive later in the day and Check Into the hotel. AGRA is home to one of the 7-Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces are vivid remainders of the ancient Mughal Empire and Capital City of 16th and early 17th centuries. More just a decadent city of graveyards and stones, Agra is a vibrant centre of Culture, Art and Religious philosophies that have enriched mankind and shaped human thought over centuries. Arrive and check into the hotel.

Later in the day after change, wash and some rest visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah - the Baby Taj. The tomb may not be as mammoth as the Taj but the inlay designs and carvings are no less than Taj if not more. The delicate marble latticework in the passages allows the light to enter the interiors. This tomb was the first complete marble Mughal structure. Evening is for shopping and leisure activities. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Agra.

Day 08: AGRA
After breakfast in the morning our guide will greet you at the hotel to take you for sightseeing of AGRA. First visit one of the wonders of the world, The TAJ MAHAL (monument of love), built by 5th great Mughal Emperor Shahi Jahan in the memory as mausoleum of his beloved queen Anjuman Bano Begum-Mumtaz. After her death in 1627 AD, in her memory emperor started to built Taj Mahal (Taj means Crown & Mahal means Palace). It took 22 years for 22000 labors working day and night to build this archeological wonder. It is the romantic origin of Taj as much as its architectural splendor that has led to its fame worldwide. Actually an integrated complex of many structures The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, itself a combination of Islamic, Hindu, Persian and Turkish elements. Built in pure white marble which was transported from Makrana in Rajasthan by the help of animals Taj Mahal is one of the man made wonder’s of the world. The Taj Mahal built on the banks of River Yamuna is a masterpiece of symmetry, seeming to be floating in the air from a distance, and each revealed as an illusion experienced as one enters through the main gate. The verses of Holy Koran as inscribed on it and at the top of gate 22 small domes, signifying the number of years the monument took to built. The Taj Mahal has been built on a Marble Platform that stands one above sandstone. The most elegant dome of the Taj, with diameter of 60 feet’s, rises 80 feet’s, over the building and directly under the dome is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan's tomb has been erected next to her's by his son Aurangzeb. Fantastic Inlay works using semi-precious stones decorate and interiors.

Later visit AGRA FORT on the banks of Yamuna River built by 3 emperors, Akbar & Jahangir in red sand stone & Shahi Jahan in white marble. The Crescent shaped Fort is 2.5 Km long and during Mughal rule 1/3rd of the Fort was occupied by the army. When British ruled India, they repeated same tradition and now traditionally Indian army has occupied the same. Visit some of the beautiful monuments housed in the complex - The Diwan-i-Am (public audience hall), the beautiful Diwan-i-Khas (private audience hall) and the magnificent Moti Mazjid (Pearl Mosque) were built by Shah Jahan.

Later in the day visit Sikandra- The site of Akbar's mausoleum and glorious reminder of the historic Mughal Empire. Sikandra was begun by Akbar and completed by his son Jahangir in 1613 AD. It reflects the fusion of Hindu and Muslim art and architecture which characterized the era. The tomb is situated in the centre of a large garden and four identical red sandstone gates lead to the tomb complex. The building, with three-storey minarets at each corner, is built of red sandstone with white marble polygonal patterns inlaid. Sikandra is named after Sikandra Lodi, the Delhi ruler who was in power from 1488 to 1517.

With Car, driver & guide at your disposal in the evening you may go for shopping and leisure activities OR dinner at an excellent Indian / Mughal / Continental restaurant. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on Marble, Leather work, Foot-wear, Brass-wear, Carpets, Jewelry, Zari and Embroidery work. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Agra.

Day 09: AGRA – Jhansi (Train – 02 Hrs) – Orcha – KHAJURAHO (3.5 Hrs by Car)
After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out to be transferred to the Railway station to board Super-Fast Train to Jhansi. You will be met by our representative and escorted to the car by which you travel to Khajuraho. Enroute visit ORCHA. Orcha is a medieval city founded by Bundela rulers with palaces and temples of the 16th and 17th century – which have remarkably withstood the onslaught of time. The river Betwa picturesquely flanks the city. Visit this historical site with magnificent temples and monuments. Some of the palaces were decorated with painted murals which represent the finest flowering of the Bundela School of painting. Visit beautiful Palace Complex – Jahangiri Mahal and the Raja Mahal. Closely study the intricacies of the mural paintings in the Raja Mahal and visit the Lakshminarayan Temple.

Continue your drive to Khajuraho so as to arrive and check into the hotel. The temples at Khajuraho form probably one of the best examples of Indian art and architecture. One of the most popular tourist destinations in India, Khajuraho is home to India’s largest group of medieval Hindu temples, famous for their erotic sculptures depicting scenes from the Kama Sutra. Only discovered in the 20th century after being reclaimed by jungle, the Khajuraho group of monuments is today protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Khajuraho was once the religious capital of the Chandela Rajputs, a Hindu dynasty that ruled this part of India from the 10th to the 12th centuries. The Khajuraho temples were built over a span of a hundred years, from 950 to 1050, with the whole area enclosed by a wall with eight gates, each flanked by two golden palm trees. There were originally over 80 Hindu temples, of which only 22 now stand in a reasonable state of preservation, scattered over an area of about 21 km2 (8 square miles). Learn the history of these world-famous temples on a guided tour and enjoy a taste of a little erotica from the Middle Ages.

If the temples of Khajuraho can be said to have a theme, it is woman. A celebration of woman and her myriad moods and facets. Writing letters… applying kohl to her eyes… dancing with joyous abandon… playing with her child. Woman - innocent, coquettish, smiling - infinitely seductive, infinitely beautiful. Depicted in a wealth of detail, sharply etched, sculpted with consummate artistry.

Rest of the day is free to watch all the erotic temple sites and the sensuous artifacts carved on the walls of these temples. In the evening you can enjoy evening dance performances and a sound and light show within the temple complex itself (As per local event). Conceived by the Archaeological Survey of India, it glimpses the history and making of these temples. Overnight stay is at the hotel.

Day 10: KHAJURAHO
After breakfast in the morning at the hotel our Guide will take you for a day sightseeing of Khajuraho Temples. Visit the Eastern and Western group of temples where fortnight sculptures celebrate the joy of life and love for which there is probably no equivalent in the world. Return back to the hotel for some rest. In the evening go for some more sightseeing of Southern Group of Khajuraho Temples followed by a visit to the state’s museum of Tribal and Folk Arts. There's so much of exquisite artistic excellence scattered everywhere in Khajuraho that the most passionate lovers of art could spend days studying them. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11: KHAJURAHO – BANDHAVGARH (260 Kms – 06 Hrs)
Bandhavgarh definitely is the crown in the wildlife legacy of India. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India. This is also White Tiger Country. These have been found in the old state of Rewa for many years. Prior to becoming a National park, the forest around Bandhavgarh had long been maintained as a Shikargah, or game preserve, of the Maharajahs of Rewa. Hunting was carried out by the Maharajahs and their guests - otherwise the wildlife was relatively well-protected. It was considered a good omen for a Maharajah of Rewa to shoot 109 Tigers. His highness Maharajah Venkat Raman Singh shot 111 Tigers by 1914.

Morning: After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to Bandhavgarh Tiger Sanctuary so as to arrive by afternoon. You will be welcomed in a traditional manner at the wildlife resort. Check into your rooms/ cottages to relax and freshen up from after the journey.

Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort. Later in the day go for Exclusive Jungle Safari into the Tiger Sanctuary by Open Jeep escorted by English speaking Guide and a naturalist – local inhabitants of Jungle. Bandhavgarh is densely populated with Indian Tiger and other wildlife species. The great Gaur, or Indian Bison, can be seen with ease, as they come onto the meadows to graze at dusk; Sambar and Barking Deer are a common sight, and Nilgai are to be seen in the more open areas of the park. Chances of finding Tiger in the wild are very high. After the Jeep Safari Ride; return back to the resort and have some rest.

Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Relax at the resort or have interactive session with our wildlife experts. You can also go to visit the estate governments’ wildlife museum. Enjoy dinner over bonfire before going to bed.

Day 12: BANDHAVGARH
Leaves don't rustle! Water doesn't trickle! Grasses stop to move! Even the wind pauses to hold its breath and watch the drama unfold! Then all of a sudden the Jungle springs to life! Langurs groan. Branches of trees begin to swing under their springing jumps. Fleeting hooves rustle the grass. Heavy bodies splash the water. Spotted Deers let out the alarm call. Let it be known - the King is here – “Hail, the King!”; Lesser creatures flee. The King sweeps a gaze over his Kingdom. Period- Utter silence. The show begins. – This is Bandhavgarh for you.

Morning: Early in the morning tea / coffee will be served at the resort at the wake-up call. Go for Exclusive Jeep Safari into the jungles for Tiger Tracking by Open Gypsy (4WD) escorted by English speaking guide and local naturalist. Also visit the ancient caves inside the wildlife Park. You may get down for some photo-shots. These are 35 sandstone caves that bear the Brahmi inscriptions in the northern area of the park are worth a visit. Many caves have figures of animals like tiger, pig and elephant. Badi Gufa, as the name suggests is the largest cave here. It has a broad entrance, nine small rooms and several pillars. After tiger viewing; return back to the Resort for breakfast and some rest.

Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort followed by yet another Game Viewing ride inside the Jungles by Elephant Safari. Elephant Safari in the wilds is one of the most unforgettable experience and especially when you are virtually in the footsteps of Royal Indian Tiger. Drive deep into the forest by Open Jeep to the Elephant Safari Start Point. Get on to the top of Elephant to one of the most unforgettable experiences. The Mahawat (Rider) of the elephant will follow the path of the tiger amidst the tall grass and bushes so bring you so close to the tiger. Virtually a meter or two away from the tiger you get to see the Royal Indian Tiger as close you would have seen on any television program. This is called Tiger Show; if you are lucky enough you may even see a Tiger Kill on this show. Apart from Tiger you can enjoy a variety of wildlife at Bandhavgarh. There are more than 22 species of mammals and 250 species of birds. Common Langurs and Rhesus Macaque represent the primate group. Carnivores include the Asiatic Jackal, Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Gray Mongoose, Striped Hyena, Jungle Cat, Leopard and Tiger. The artiodactyls frequently sighted are Wild Pigs, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Chausingha, Nilgai, Chinkara and Gaur. Mammals such as Dhole, the small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel and Lesser Bandicoot Rat are seen occasionally. Among the herbivores, Gaur is the only coarse feeder. Return back to the resort later in the day after the Jungle Safari.

Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Enjoy the evening at your own. You have free time for leisure activities at the resort. After dinner over bonfire you may go off to sleep.

Day 13: BANDHAVGARH – KANHA (250 Kms – 05 Hrs)
After breakfast in the morning at the resort check out and drive to KANHA National Park. Kanha is home to the magical land of wildlife that stores numerous precious gems of nature. Considered among the best national park in Asia, it is home to few of the most endangered species. Nicely covered by lush Sal and bamboo forests, the park became an inspiration for the famous writer Rudyard Kipling to write the unforgettable Jungle Book that gave life to 'Sher Khan', the king of the jungle. The main attractions are Royal Indian Tiger, Bison, Gaur, Sambar, Chital, Barasingha, Barking Deer, Black Deer, Black Buck, Chousihgha, Nilgai, Mouse Deer, Sloth Bear, Jackal Fox, Porcupine, Hyaena, Jungle Cat, Python, Pea fowl, Hare, Monkey, Mongoose, Tiger, Leapord etc. can also be seen here.

Morning: Drive to Kanha NP through the hilly and rough jungle terrains passing through tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh. Arrive at the wildlife resort in Kanha to be welcomed in a traditional manner. Check into your rooms/ cottages to relax and freshen up after a little hectic Jeep Drive.

Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort. Later in the day go for Exclusive Jungle Safari into the Tiger Sanctuary by Open Jeep escorted by English speaking Guide and a naturalist – local inhabitants of Jungle. Kanha is densely populated with Indian Tiger and other wildlife species. Chances of finding Tiger in the wild are very high. The 1,945 sq. km National Park has been compared to N'Gorongoro National Park of Tanzania. Kanha is far greener and more densely wooded than N'Gorongoro. It is one of the largest and best monitored Parks in the subcontinent and definitely one of the best places in the world to see the critically endangered tiger in the wild.
After the Jeep Safari Ride; return back to the resort and have some rest.

Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Relax at the resort or have interactive session with our wildlife experts. You can also go to visit the estate governments’ wildlife museum. Enjoy dinner over bonfire before going to bed.

Day 14: KANHA
The moonlight was blocked out of the mouth of the cave, for Share Khan's great square head and shoulders were thrust into the entrance. The tiger's roar filled the cave with thunder. Mother Wolf shook herself clear of the cubs and sprang forward, her eyes, like two green moons in the darkness, facing the blazing eyes of Shere Khan – These extracts from The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling describe Kanha National Park for you.

Morning: Early in the morning tea / coffee will be served at the resort at the wake-up call. Go for Exclusive Jeep Safari into the jungles for Tiger Tracking by Open Gypsy (4WD) escorted by English speaking guide and local naturalist. Spotting wild animals is always a matter of luck but Kanha is so rich in wildlife that the odds are titled in your favor. First time visitors are often so keen to spot the larger animals that they overlook the smaller ones. There are 175 varieties of birds in Kanha. So if you happen to be bird watcher, look forward to a full bird show. After tiger viewing; return back to the Resort for breakfast and some rest.

Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort followed by yet another Game Viewing ride inside the Jungles by Open Gypsy. Most people are keener to meet Kanha's major attraction, the Tiger; still one has to be patient to spot one. But while on a mission to find a tiger, one can easily catch glimpses of all the grazers, a Porcupine, many Gray Langurs, Mongoose, Hyena, Jungle Cat, even a Leopard. Other wild attractions in this Tiger country include varieties of Deer - the Barasingha, Chital or Spotted Deer, Chousingha, Nilgai, as well as the majestic Gaur or Indian Bison and wild Pig. Return back to the resort later in the day after the Jungle Safari.

Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Enjoy the evening at your own. You have free time for leisure activities at the resort or visit the museum at Kanha depicting attributes and activities of the park and tribal culture. After dinner over bonfire you may go off to sleep.

Day 15: KANHA (Elephant Safari) – Jabalpur (120 kms – 2.5 Hrs) – DELHI (Flight) – Onwards Travel / FLY BACK
Elephant Safari in the wilds is one of the most unforgettable experience and especially when you are virtually in the footsteps of Royal Indian Tiger.

Early Morning: Early in the morning tea / coffee will be served at the resort at the wake-up call. Drive deep into the forest by Open Jeep to the Elephant Safari Start Point. Get on to the top of Elephant to one of the most unforgettable experiences. The Mahawat (Rider) of the elephant will follow the path of the tiger amidst the tall grass and bushes so bring you so close to the tiger. Virtually a meter or two away from the tiger you get to see the Royal Indian Tiger as close you would have seen on any television program. This is called Tiger Show; if you are lucky enough you may even see a Tiger Kill on this show.

After the tiger show return back to the ride ahead in the Jeep inside the national park to enjoy the natural habitant of the jungle and wildlife. Return back to the resort later in the day.
Noon: After safari ride return back to the resort to pack up all your stuff, check out and to be driven to Jabalpur Airport to board your evening flight back to DELHI.

Evening: Upon arrival at the airport you will be greeted by our representative. Depending on your onwards travel plans / schedules you will have time to explore some more of Delhi or some last minute shopping activities before being transferred to the Airport to board your flight for onwards destination OR fly back to your country with everlasting memories of magnificent glimpses of Incredible India.
