Later in the day check out and drive to JAIPUR. This historic and first planned city of India was founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh in 1727 AD. The king had consulted a number of maps of the world before finally organizing own religious map Shilpa Shastra with the help of a young architect. Maharaja Swai Jai Singh was a builder, astronomer, astrologer, soldier, & philosopher. Presently Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan & is world famous as the Pink City. Wide-avenued Jaipur is the reservoir of Indian customs, traditions, civilization and royal legacy and is one of the most important heritage cities in India. Jaipur is also the home to India’s second most visited site. Arrive and check into the hotel. Rest of the evening is free for leisure activities in and around the hotel. With Car and Driver at your disposal you may visit some of the world famous colorfully painted in Pink Bazaars of Jaipur. Shopping is an electrifying activity in Jaipur. It is difficult to define in words, the assortment of products, which these markets offer. Without a shopping spree in markets, no trip to Jaipur is complete. It is the perfect place to shop for Handicrafts, antiques, jewelry, gems, pottery, carpets, textiles, metalwork and leather-ware. In the late evening hours you may go to the Chokhi Daani – A Rajasthani Traditional Village Resort to enjoy the folk dance, music and rich hospitality and for leisure activities. You may also enjoy a traditional Rajasthani Food before returning back to the hotel to stay Overnight in Jaipur. Day 04: JAIPUR After breakfast in the morning at the hotel our guide will greet you at the hotel lobby to take you for full day sightseeing of Jaipur.Fist visit the most famous Amber Fort. Enjoy the Elephant Ride from the foothills of the Fort to the Amber Fort top, the elephant ride will give you the experience and take you into the royal past where Maharajas & royal family members were using the services of elephants as royal transport. Visit the Amber Fort. While returning form the Amber Fort stop for the photo shots at the Jal Mahal - The Floating Palace. Later visit the marvelous City Palace - the current generation of the Maharajas (King) still live here. The spectacular Palace is a lively example of the royal Past. Go on to visit the Hawa Mahal (wind palace) where from royal ladies were watching daily processions and daily life. Constructed of red and pink sandstone highlighted with white lime, the five-storied facade is peppered with 953 small windows. The breeze (hawa) that comes through the windows keeps it cool even in hot months, and gives the palace its name. Also visit the Historic Museum to be followed by ancient astrological observatory – The Jantar Mantar and beautiful temple – The Birla Mandir made in pure white marble. Evening is for leisure and shopping activities in some of the exclusive souvenirs boutiques and showrooms to buy some of the most exquisite memories of India. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay. Day 05: JAIPUR – RANTHAMBORE (160 Kms – 03 Hrs) Morning: After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary -the tiger sanctuary is known for the place where you can catch the tiger by its tail. One of the most exciting tourism opportunities in India is to see the Royal Bengal Tiger in the wild. Ranthambore National Park is among the most promising jungles to see just that. The tiger is not the only attraction at Ranthambore; although it is the one park resident people come to see. Enjoy great wildlife and see several varieties of birds including these owlets peering through their burrow pictured here on the right and of course the ubiquitous langur monkey. Other animals in the reserve include leopard, caracal, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, marsh crocodiles, wild boar, bears and various species of deer. The main food source for the tiger is the swamp deer like Barasinsga and on occasion the wild buffalo and also wild bear etc. Afternoon: Upon arrival at the wildlife resort you will be greeted in a traditional manner. Check into the Dlx Cottages of the Jungle Resort. Lunch will be served at the resort. Later in the day after change, wash and some rest go for Tiger Tracking by Canter Safari Ride escorted by local naturalist and English Speaking Guide into the jungles. Evening: is free for leisure activities in and around the jungle resort. You can visit the wildlife museum, or have an interactive session with the expert jungle guide and naturalist. Enjoy the dinner over bonfire and traditional folk dance, musical show, Rajasthani puppet show etc in the deep forests. Overnight stay is at the jungle resort. Day 06: RANTHAMBORE Day 07: RANTHAMBORE – Fatehpur Sikri – AGRA (250 Kms – 05 Hrs) Day 08: AGRA Day 10: KHAJURAHO Bandhavgarh definitely is the crown in the wildlife legacy of India. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India. This is also White Tiger Country. These have been found in the old state of Rewa for many years. Prior to becoming a National park, the forest around Bandhavgarh had long been maintained as a Shikargah, or game preserve, of the Maharajahs of Rewa. Hunting was carried out by the Maharajahs and their guests - otherwise the wildlife was relatively well-protected. It was considered a good omen for a Maharajah of Rewa to shoot 109 Tigers. His highness Maharajah Venkat Raman Singh shot 111 Tigers by 1914. Morning: After breakfast in the morning at the hotel check out and drive to Bandhavgarh Tiger Sanctuary so as to arrive by afternoon. You will be welcomed in a traditional manner at the wildlife resort. Check into your rooms/ cottages to relax and freshen up from after the journey. Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort. Later in the day go for Exclusive Jungle Safari into the Tiger Sanctuary by Open Jeep escorted by English speaking Guide and a naturalist – local inhabitants of Jungle. Bandhavgarh is densely populated with Indian Tiger and other wildlife species. The great Gaur, or Indian Bison, can be seen with ease, as they come onto the meadows to graze at dusk; Sambar and Barking Deer are a common sight, and Nilgai are to be seen in the more open areas of the park. Chances of finding Tiger in the wild are very high. After the Jeep Safari Ride; return back to the resort and have some rest. Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Relax at the resort or have interactive session with our wildlife experts. You can also go to visit the estate governments’ wildlife museum. Enjoy dinner over bonfire before going to bed. Day 12: BANDHAVGARH Leaves don't rustle! Water doesn't trickle! Grasses stop to move! Even the wind pauses to hold its breath and watch the drama unfold! Then all of a sudden the Jungle springs to life! Langurs groan. Branches of trees begin to swing under their springing jumps. Fleeting hooves rustle the grass. Heavy bodies splash the water. Spotted Deers let out the alarm call. Let it be known - the King is here – “Hail, the King!”; Lesser creatures flee. The King sweeps a gaze over his Kingdom. Period- Utter silence. The show begins. – This is Bandhavgarh for you. Morning: Early in the morning tea / coffee will be served at the resort at the wake-up call. Go for Exclusive Jeep Safari into the jungles for Tiger Tracking by Open Gypsy (4WD) escorted by English speaking guide and local naturalist. Also visit the ancient caves inside the wildlife Park. You may get down for some photo-shots. These are 35 sandstone caves that bear the Brahmi inscriptions in the northern area of the park are worth a visit. Many caves have figures of animals like tiger, pig and elephant. Badi Gufa, as the name suggests is the largest cave here. It has a broad entrance, nine small rooms and several pillars. After tiger viewing; return back to the Resort for breakfast and some rest. Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort followed by yet another Game Viewing ride inside the Jungles by Elephant Safari. Elephant Safari in the wilds is one of the most unforgettable experience and especially when you are virtually in the footsteps of Royal Indian Tiger. Drive deep into the forest by Open Jeep to the Elephant Safari Start Point. Get on to the top of Elephant to one of the most unforgettable experiences. The Mahawat (Rider) of the elephant will follow the path of the tiger amidst the tall grass and bushes so bring you so close to the tiger. Virtually a meter or two away from the tiger you get to see the Royal Indian Tiger as close you would have seen on any television program. This is called Tiger Show; if you are lucky enough you may even see a Tiger Kill on this show. Apart from Tiger you can enjoy a variety of wildlife at Bandhavgarh. There are more than 22 species of mammals and 250 species of birds. Common Langurs and Rhesus Macaque represent the primate group. Carnivores include the Asiatic Jackal, Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Gray Mongoose, Striped Hyena, Jungle Cat, Leopard and Tiger. The artiodactyls frequently sighted are Wild Pigs, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Chausingha, Nilgai, Chinkara and Gaur. Mammals such as Dhole, the small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel and Lesser Bandicoot Rat are seen occasionally. Among the herbivores, Gaur is the only coarse feeder. Return back to the resort later in the day after the Jungle Safari. Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Enjoy the evening at your own. You have free time for leisure activities at the resort. After dinner over bonfire you may go off to sleep. Day 13: BANDHAVGARH – KANHA (250 Kms – 05 Hrs) After breakfast in the morning at the resort check out and drive to KANHA National Park. Kanha is home to the magical land of wildlife that stores numerous precious gems of nature. Considered among the best national park in Asia, it is home to few of the most endangered species. Nicely covered by lush Sal and bamboo forests, the park became an inspiration for the famous writer Rudyard Kipling to write the unforgettable Jungle Book that gave life to 'Sher Khan', the king of the jungle. The main attractions are Royal Indian Tiger, Bison, Gaur, Sambar, Chital, Barasingha, Barking Deer, Black Deer, Black Buck, Chousihgha, Nilgai, Mouse Deer, Sloth Bear, Jackal Fox, Porcupine, Hyaena, Jungle Cat, Python, Pea fowl, Hare, Monkey, Mongoose, Tiger, Leapord etc. can also be seen here.Morning: Drive to Kanha NP through the hilly and rough jungle terrains passing through tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh. Arrive at the wildlife resort in Kanha to be welcomed in a traditional manner. Check into your rooms/ cottages to relax and freshen up after a little hectic Jeep Drive. Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort. Later in the day go for Exclusive Jungle Safari into the Tiger Sanctuary by Open Jeep escorted by English speaking Guide and a naturalist – local inhabitants of Jungle. Kanha is densely populated with Indian Tiger and other wildlife species. Chances of finding Tiger in the wild are very high. The 1,945 sq. km National Park has been compared to N'Gorongoro National Park of Tanzania. Kanha is far greener and more densely wooded than N'Gorongoro. It is one of the largest and best monitored Parks in the subcontinent and definitely one of the best places in the world to see the critically endangered tiger in the wild. After the Jeep Safari Ride; return back to the resort and have some rest. Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Relax at the resort or have interactive session with our wildlife experts. You can also go to visit the estate governments’ wildlife museum. Enjoy dinner over bonfire before going to bed. Day 14: KANHA The moonlight was blocked out of the mouth of the cave, for Share Khan's great square head and shoulders were thrust into the entrance. The tiger's roar filled the cave with thunder. Mother Wolf shook herself clear of the cubs and sprang forward, her eyes, like two green moons in the darkness, facing the blazing eyes of Shere Khan – These extracts from The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling describe Kanha National Park for you. Morning: Early in the morning tea / coffee will be served at the resort at the wake-up call. Go for Exclusive Jeep Safari into the jungles for Tiger Tracking by Open Gypsy (4WD) escorted by English speaking guide and local naturalist. Spotting wild animals is always a matter of luck but Kanha is so rich in wildlife that the odds are titled in your favor. First time visitors are often so keen to spot the larger animals that they overlook the smaller ones. There are 175 varieties of birds in Kanha. So if you happen to be bird watcher, look forward to a full bird show. After tiger viewing; return back to the Resort for breakfast and some rest. Noon: Lunch will be served at the resort followed by yet another Game Viewing ride inside the Jungles by Open Gypsy. Most people are keener to meet Kanha's major attraction, the Tiger; still one has to be patient to spot one. But while on a mission to find a tiger, one can easily catch glimpses of all the grazers, a Porcupine, many Gray Langurs, Mongoose, Hyena, Jungle Cat, even a Leopard. Other wild attractions in this Tiger country include varieties of Deer - the Barasingha, Chital or Spotted Deer, Chousingha, Nilgai, as well as the majestic Gaur or Indian Bison and wild Pig. Return back to the resort later in the day after the Jungle Safari. Evening: Tea / Coffee will be served at the resort. Enjoy the evening at your own. You have free time for leisure activities at the resort or visit the museum at Kanha depicting attributes and activities of the park and tribal culture. After dinner over bonfire you may go off to sleep. Day 15: KANHA (Elephant Safari) – Jabalpur (120 kms – 2.5 Hrs) – DELHI (Flight) – Onwards Travel / FLY BACK Elephant Safari in the wilds is one of the most unforgettable experience and especially when you are virtually in the footsteps of Royal Indian Tiger. Early Morning: Early in the morning tea / coffee will be served at the resort at the wake-up call. Drive deep into the forest by Open Jeep to the Elephant Safari Start Point. Get on to the top of Elephant to one of the most unforgettable experiences. Evening: Upon arrival at the airport you will be greeted by our representative. Depending on your onwards travel plans / schedules you will have time to explore some more of Delhi or some last minute shopping activities before being transferred to the Airport to board your flight for onwards destination OR fly back to your country with everlasting memories of magnificent glimpses of Incredible India.
